YoungStarters Discovery
Develop students’ positive awareness as they learn through quality interactions, foster social development, equip students to regulate behavior, thoughts, and feelings, build identity whilst showing respect to diversity, and have a meaningful sense of the world through purposeful play, experiments, and practical experiences.
MOVE & GROOVE
Impact and inspire children as they participate in an array of musical adventures, various instrument immersion, involve with creative drama activities to develop expressive language, social awareness, cognitive skills, and creativity through music appreciation.
Creative Expressions
Engage students to gain a sense of creativity and form self-expression through artistry, making use of techniques and introduce various art media – a hands-on exploration to develop cognitive and fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness through guided arts & crafts activities.
FUN WITH MATH
Aligned with MOE’s guide in Numeracy learning, students are reinforced with a series of Mathematical concepts such as counting and number sense, relationship with patterns, shape recognition, space, and simple spatial concepts, allowing them to use the skills in building meaningful relationships with their daily experiences. Engaging, thematic-based activities are carried out to provide opportunities in developing skills in matching, ordering, comparing, patterning, sorting, counting, and basic problem solving.
Language Explorers
Children learn best by doing and making. Through this program, students are geared to develop age- appropriate literacy skills. With a good combination of self-directed activities, hands-on and collaborative play, our students are instilled holistically, provided with learning opportunities and hands-on experiences to develop fine motor skills, letter recognition, reading, speaking, and writing skills.
HERE I COME, P1!
Here I Come P1 is a thoughtfully curated program designed to prepare our Senior YoungStarters for the demands of primary school. Our comprehensive approach focuses on the development of essential language and mathematical skills while fostering social awareness and setting realistic expectations. The themes and activities discussed in the program are closely aligned with our school’s values and vision, ensuring a seamless integration of our educational philosophy. By integrating these key areas, we ensure that each child is well-equipped for a successful transition into primary school, ready to excel both academically and socially.
